Within Yunfeng City, the night was in its darkest hour.

A petite figure ran out from around the corner. Her clothes were in disarray, the hem of her skirt was ripped apart, and she even did not have any shoes on her feet. The sounds of her bare feet stepping on the stone pavement echoed with each step.

From behind her came the stern shouts of her pursuers, "She's over there, catch her!"

Damn, they've found me!

Yun Shenshen felt her heart pounding in fear. Her pursuers were on horseback - her two legs would never outrun their horses. She had to find a place to hide, and fast.

Under the dim moonlight, she saw a horse-drawn carriage parked by the side of the road, seemingly abandoned.

Her pursuers were getting closer and closer by the second. With no time to waste, she darted towards the carriage, whisked back the curtains, and leapt inside.

"Who's there?"

Yun Shenshen froze - she hadn't expected someone already in the carriage!

Not wanting to alert the man of her presence, Yun Shenshen swiftly moved to cover the man's mouth. Whispering softly she said, "Please, be quiet. There are people chasing me. Let me hide here with you, I will leave as soon as they're gone."

At that moment, Yun Shenshen was sprawled atop the stranger, their bodies pressing tightly together. The closeness was enough to feel the warmth of each other's breaths.

The man grunted in response, leaving her unsure if he had agreed or not.

At that moment, the hoofbeats of the pursuers' horses grew louder. Yun Shenshen held her breath, daring not to move a muscle.

The hoofbeats eventually came to a stop next to the carriage. It seemed like the pursuers intended to inspect the carriage.

Am I about to be exposed?

Yun Shen Shen tensed up, her heart pounding so intensely it felt as if it was about to leap from her throat.

Just then, the voice of a young man suddenly rang out, crisply stating, "This is Prince Jing's carriage, what are you trying to do?"

Upon hearing 'Prince Jing's Mansion', the pursuers immediately dismissed any thought of inspecting the carriage and skulked away.

The hoofbeats swiftly receded and the crisis was finally resolved. Yun Shen Shen exhaled deeply.

Just as she was about to sit up, the man suddenly wrapped his arm around her waist, forcefully turning her. After a dizzying spin, she was pinned beneath him!

The man's body was hot as fire, as if wanting to melt her completely.

Yun Shen Shen was taken aback, her hands pressed against the man's chest as she anxiously inquired, "What are you doing?"

The man gazed directly at her, his dark eyes filled with a wild lust. He moved his lips, his voice husky and low, "I want you!"

"What the fu...mm!" Before she could finish her sentence, her mouth was covered by the man.

Yun Shen Shen was completely panic-stricken!

This man was acting like a complete ruffian, totally lawless!

The curtain of the carriage was lifted and a young man poked his head in. Seeing Yun Shen Shen and the man in close contact, he first paused, then widened his eyes, "Young Master, it seems you've already found the antidote, I actually ran to the brothel to get you a clean girl. It seems like a waste now."

Antidote? Clean girl? Don't go, explain everything to me!

But what she saw was the young man briskly exiting the carriage, considerately dropping the curtain before he left, effectively blocking the view inside the carriage.

Yun Shen Shen angrily thought: This is absolutely ridiculous!

Deep in frustration, Yun Shen aggressively resisted, but the man's strength was overwhelming. Her attempts at resistance were trivial in front of him.

Outside the carriage, a boy sat by the roadside, an immaculately dressed little girl standing with her head bowed beside him.

The carriage began to shake violently, interspersed with a woman's screams and cursing and a man's heavy panting.

The boy couldn't help but mutter, "Their fight is quite intense, huh?"

Although the little girl was young, she was with them and was embarrassed. It made her wish she could bury herself into the ground out of embarrassment.

After about an hour or so, the carriage finally began to calm down.

Trembling, Yun Shen rolled out from the carriage. Her clothing was torn and ragged, revealing her neck and arms which were covered with purple marks. One could easily tell these were left from the earlier fight.

"Beast!" she cursed him as she walked.

The boy got up and asked, "Miss, where are you going?"

Having experienced a traumatic event changed Yun Shen's mood bag, she glared at the boy and replied bitterly, "Where I want to go is none of your business!"

The boy looked confused, "Why are you so angry? Did you take the wrong medicine?"

"The one who took the wrong medicine is the beast in the carriage!" Yun Shen retorted without any hesitation. "If he hadn't given me the happy powder, could he have abused me like this?"

The boy was taken aback, "How do you know the young master was drugged?"

"From his lustful behavior just now, anyone could tell that he was drugged!" Yun Shen replied in a disgruntled tone.

The boy was silent.

Yun Shen leaned on her aching back with one hand and continued to swear as she walked away, swaying slightly.
